Everyone is welcome to join in!

There are many different groups and projects where people at Lake Ridge are gathering to help - everyone is welcome to join in. If you’d like to get involved in any of the teams listed below, fill in this form and one of our ministry leads will get in touch.

  • Our worship team exists to lead our church in musical worship each Sunday and is made up of skilled and growing musicians who love God and have a passion for leading others to deeper life in Christ through music. Love music? We’d love to have you join us.

  • Our slides volunteers coordinate with the worship leaders to create visuals to support our songs, sermons and announcements, and run those slides during service. Our sound team works closely with the worship team and speakers to create a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. If this “sounds” like you, let’s connect. Our lighting team creates an atmosphere of worship and bring us into a space of praise. Training is provided!

  • The Connections team are the first set of smiling faces who greet you as you step in the door on Sunday morning. This team welcomes, answers questions and helps everyone feel at home. If you’ve got a knack for warm welcomes, we’d love to chat.

  • Nothing says "welcome" like a warm cup of coffee! Our team is a wave of warmth and comfort for newcomers and regulars alike. When you don’t know where to go or who to talk to, head over to the coffee team.  Coffee is our love language!

  • We want to create space and experiences where teens can have fun, build healthy relationships, ask tough questions, and become friends with Jesus. We’d love to talk to you if you want to get involved as a youth volunteer, but we also need help with practical things like providing snacks for gatherings, opening your home up for an event or helping drive. There’s lots of opportunity to get involved – just let us know you’re interested!

  • Kids are important people at Lake Ridge – that’s why we are intentional on Sunday mornings to create a Jesus-loving space where kids feel a sense of belonging, can grow in their faith and have fun while making new friends. If this is a ministry that speaks to your heart, we’d love to hear from you.

  • People need to be listened to, cared for and loved, and our Visitation team adopts the New Testament description of ‘pastoral care’ to guide their practices. A visit might involve sitting with someone and talking, or perhaps just listening; it could be a walk together; or maybe it's just a phone call. There may be conversations, silence, tears, or prayers – the Holy Spirit leads in these sacred moments. If this kind of ministry stirs something in your heart, we’d love to talk to you.

  • As a church family we believe that we are called to live our faith in action: loving and serving.  The Serve ministry is a way to care for some of the immediate physical needs faced by those in our community. This could include practical acts of service like preparing a meal for someone who’s had a new baby or experienced a hospital stay, helping with the cleaning or muscle work required for a move, or providing a ride to an appointment. Get in touch if you’d like to provide helping hands to ease someone’s burden.

  • Lake Ridge is working to be a body of “pray-first people”, turning to God in all circumstances. Our Prayer team is working to create a culture of prayer throughout our community. This involves praying before and after our services, and being willing to draw close to those who may be walking through hard seasons of life. If you feel called to pray for our community and for specific requests, come join us!

  • Lake Ridge worships at Our Lady of Wisdom school and this team uses creativity to turn the school gymnasium into a welcoming sanctuary of worship every Sunday. The team is filled with people who are interested in creating beauty and serenity out of ordinary things. If this appeals to you or if you’ve got practical skills that turn visions into realities, we’d love to meet you.

  • A couple of hours before church begins on Sundays, a hard-working team gathers in the Our Lady of Wisdom gym and sets up all the elements that make this utilitarian space into a place of worship and connection. Special skills aren’t required, just a willingness to pitch in and help get everything into place – serve on this team and you can skip your Sunday fitness workout!
