There’s a Place for Everyone
Church community sometimes looks like a big thanksgiving meal, complete with the busy kitchen, a feast, and noisy clean-up afterwards. In fact, the Apostle Paul, in his letters, called people in the church co-labourers: friends joining in to make, grow, and create goodness together. Church really is a collaboration - everyone has a different role, each role is important, and as we serve together we are given the chance to grow.
Throughout the scriptures Jesus invites us to a way of life that is shaped by his particularly gentle and intentional way of loving service to each other. Jesus takes the mystery away from involvement: adopt a servant heart, roll up your sleeves, and join in. It’s beautiful, it’s rewarding and there is room for everyone. We are working to be a place of partnership and loving service. We each bring our Jesus-beloved lives with all our God-given hopes and passions and gather around together. We volunteer our time and step in to care for a particular project or ministry, we find ways to serve creatively, and we care about how others are doing. There’s a place for you here, too, if you want to get involved!
