Sermon Series November 17 & 24
A Well Watered Community
Our 2024 theme has been “Well Watered.” Together we’ve explored how the dry roots of our lives are met by God’s tender love. This Sunday we begin to wrap up our year long theme, and step into Advent together very soon. Thank you for an amazing year of newfound trust and hope, and for your care in creating a truly well-watered community.
“The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.” -Isaiah 58:11

Sustaining the Garden: Jesus and Three Coins
The garden of Lake Ridge Community Church, and of Christians in Chestermere grows because Jesus is our life. We are ambassadors of Christ called to live like Jesus. Not under compulsion or by the book, but as friends of Jesus willing and able to give because under the Lordship of Christ he can do immeasurably more, with what little we have, than we can think or imagine.
Sharing the Garden: A Vision for Fruitfulness
The Christians became people with an eye to see God’s work around them. Their eyes were good, healthy, generous. They could see what God was doing and freely joined in. Not heads down, and dark, but eyes up, bright, generous. Looking at the signs around them that God was growing a beautiful garden, and this was their invitation to see, dig, plant, water, and enjoy the fruit together.
